Default Roller 312 build questions

I am building a 312 roller motor and was wondering if there are any little tricks when putting it together to gain HP? Also if i am going the right way with the motor to build high horsepower? The motor is a mid 80's 302 taken out to a 312. i have a stock crank and stock rods with ARP everything. It has hypertectic pistons. I got a set of 3 line GT-40 heads that have the valves bored out to 1.94 and 1.600. I have a set of roller rockers on them. The cam is from lunati and its has a lift of 5.65/5.65. and i also got a fadenza Aluminum flywheel. if you could give me tech tips it would be greatly appreciated.

The motor was found by my dad and it already had work done to it. the machinest told me it was bored to around a 312. i know a lot about parts but not much about machine work so i just took his word for it.

if that block is bored out to have 312 cubes... you got a junk block

max bore on a stock block is about .060. anything more than that and the cylinder walls get too thin.

have fun when that piece of crap breaks on you

its .60 over it has a 31/2 in stroke with a 4 inch piston. I guess the number might not be right. what would that make the motor then?

3.5" stroke makes it a 351w.... not a 302

nitrous is easy HP
blowers are easy HP

anyway.
a 302 has a 4" diameter piston, and a 3" stroke
a 351w has a 4" diameter piston, and a 3.5" stroke. Its also a bigger block (not big block)

312CID is formed with a 302, with a .070 overbore
if your engine is a 302, and is .060, its a 310. and I still wouldnt ever put it in my car.
