Default NO TRACTION

HAVE TRACTION PROBLEMS WITH MY STOCK 5.0...I AM RUNNIG 245/50/16 AND CAN T HOOK UP.....I AM THE ONE THAT POSTED ABOUT THE GEARS... I WOULD PEDAL IT AND STILL WOULD SPIN UNTIL 3RD GEAR.. I AM THINKIN SUB FRAME CONNECTORS AND BOX IN MY REAR CONTROL ARMS,, ANY IDEAS.???

you are way off on those for traction..get some bfg drag radials and a weekend @ frank holley's drag racing school!!!

I got one........... Pop your hood and pull about 4 plug wires off your distributor and then close your hood. You should be able to get plenty of traction now. <edited><editID>jhogan2424</editID><editDate>37942.938275463</editDate></edited>

KNOW DOUBT.... I HAVE RACED MANY STANGS AROUND HERE AND THEY ALL KILL ME OUT OF THE HOLE BUT I HAVE THE POWER TO CATCH UP AND PASS....

a good set of upper and lowers a good suspension and a good set of tires all the key. you can hook on street tires but it is hard to do. its just easier to run DRs or a pair of ETstreets

yah that is the next thing am doin is some control arms and some sub frame connectors....any other ideas besides tires???.. i have access to some bfg drag radials but i want to get the rest worked out first...

You have a stock mustang, but you can be blown away off the line and then catch up and pass?<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">That doesnt make sence to me. Are these 4 cyl. stangs? Not to punk on you or anything, but I have a modified stang with twice the hp you have. I have a stiff suspension but can still control wheel spin.Its a matter of balance between throttle and clutch. Honestly you really should practice more.</P>

And dump those heated springs you were talking about, replace with stock or after market, and as vfast stated, get a good set of drag radials. (and make an appointment with frank).

OF COURSE I AM NOT RACIN 4 CLYS...ITS JUST THESE TIRES I HAVE SUCK...YOU CANT SAY ITS MY DRIVING WHEN I LET OUT THE CLUTH AT 1000RPM AND GET THE CAR MOVIN AND THEN SLOWLYSTEP ON ITAS SOON AS I HIT PEAK TORQUE AT 3500 THE TIRES GO UP IN SMOKE... IT CAME WITH THESE GOODYEAR EAGLE F1'S AND THEY REALLY SUCK.. I PUT ON PUNY 205 IN A CHEAP BRAND AND NOW IT WORKS GREAT....ANYONE ELSE RUN F1'S???NOT THE DRIVER....ITS THE TIRES....
