Default hurst shifter problem

hi i just installed a hurst shifter in my 95 cobra and when im driving on the freeway in fifth gear ..it goes to neutral by it self it does it once in a while but is that normal .. or is the shifter mested up ..

Not normal, maybe it's the install and not the shifter.

I think the question is, how did you install/adjust it? I assume this was not the case w/ the oe shifter?

no the oe shifter was ok well the husrt shifter is not adjustable its the silver one i uninstalled the old shifter and replace it the same way i took it out i even replaced the bushing .....i also used sealer...

I have both the silver base and gold base hurst shifter and they both have adjustable stops, are you sure yours doesn't???? if it does, the stops may need adjusting??

it doesent have adjusters i took the boot out the shifter ......it just says hurst pattend pending something like that ......no part numbers

but if it did have an adjuster doesent only adjust 2 and third gear
