Default 347 Build help.

I am planning to build a 347 this winter for my 92'GT. I already got a set of AFR outlaw 185 heads to start.. Who sells the best rotating assembily? Also if I wanted to get a donor motor from the Junk Yard, what should I pull it from. I was just there and there were alot of 5.0L in pick up trucks, cougars, Mercury's. Which one is better to get or does it even matter? Any info will help. I have a local machine shop to do the machine work, and install the bottom end. The rest I am gonna do. Thanks

Those AFR 185 heads are going to be a bit on the smallish side,IMHO.
I also don't really think it matters if the block comes from a truck, Lincoln or what ever. Just make sure it's a factory roller block. Coast High Performance sells some nice stroker kits, good service and all. DO NOT pay them to 'balance' the rotating assembly, they really can't do it right without having the balancer and flywheel/flexplate you are going to use.
Have the balance done locally..........

Thanks for the info. If the heads are gonna be too small should I for for the 331 instead? Also what cam and rockers would you reccommend.

I didn't mention it but you will need to relieve the block at the bottom of the bores so that you have rod clearance for the 3.400 stroker.........

those heads will be fine.

MJR46 runs 185cc AFR heads in his hatch and runs mid to low 11's with it
