BUILDING A FRANKENSTIEN. ANY
ok. heres what we are doing. tell me if this sounds crazy. keep in mind that i am broke and have no wheels. we tore it down to the block and took the block to a machine shop. he vatted it and replaced the freeze plugs and cam bearings. the machinist said that the block had no wear on it. i ordered a rering, bearing, gasket kit (standard size everything) i'm gonna rering the hypereutectic pistons that were in it, replace the bearings and gaskets and oil pump and let her ride. anybody ever heard anything like that??? no wear? 130,000 miles. maybe it had been rebuilt very recently. why would the 1992 not have forged pistons in it??? any advise

That's exactly what's happened.... it's had a rebuld. The '92's had forged pistons. When you have it rebuilt they should have put forged pistons in it. I dunno a lot about engine internals.... but it sounds like they just rebuild it with hypers. That would explain the small amount of wear.

And the 4 cyl driveline will set right up.... will it hold up to abuse? Nope!

the 4 cyl fuel pump will def work, as long as both engines are efi they put out the same psi, i have a 88gt, and i put a whole tank out of a 93 into my car and it works just fine, and has the same power, so the fuel pump is no prob, as for the rest i wouldnt drive hard
