Default Would 4.6 cats work oon a 5.0?

I have a chance to get some slighty used 4.6 catalytic high flows for cheap, and wanted to know if I put em on my 1994 5.0, will it do any harm or will it run fine?

its not really the engine when it comes to x-pipes but body style. if the cats are from a 4.6 car then as long as it is a sn95 body style you should be good.

if you're talking about a full mid pipe, it wont work. the header flange locations are in different spots.

how does the diff in 4.6 to 5.0 make a diff when talking about mid pipes besides what matt said about the flange spot.

the fact that the pipes wont even come close to lining up...

seems pretty straight forward to me.

Well, i'm talking about just the cats, I have a pair that were cut out and was wondering if they can be welded on to my 5.0 without any problems.

i wasnt aware the 94 & 95 pipes were different from the 96-98. now i know. i guess i just thought because they made them for the 87-93's that it was a body style and not the engine that made the difference. sorry for the bad info mustang1994.
