Default PLEASE TELL ME WHAT SIZE THESE ARE (Roller Rockers)

OK I got these roller rockers from a friend for free. He said they were sitting in his shop forever. He also said they came off a mustang. When he brought them over they were in a mustang valve cover so thats good. But i cant tell what size they are. Its stamped with 1L 98 then under that it says crane... thats all the markings on it. I went to the crane site and tried to search for for the part # to see what size they are but I cant find it anywhere. Someone please tell me what these are! 1.6? 1.7? will they fit on stock heads?!

Call crane and ask, or check summitracing for that part number...anyways, 1.7s and 1.6s will work with stock heads, I have stock heads with a FRPP B cam, and 1.7s, too, no clearance issues.

stud mounts wont work on stock heads without head work/modifiing

stock rockers are 1.6 and 1.7s or 1.72s will work on stock heads but valve cover clearence may have an issue

So are you saying these r stud mount?

OK i just got off the phone with Crane. He said they are 1.6 3/8 stud. What whould I have to modify to make these work? Id really like to use these it would save me a couple hundred dollars. AND does anyone kno where to buy the adjutsters individually. when he gave me the rockers they were missing 2 adjusters. What bolts would I use to to hold them down.. the stock 1s or do i need to go out and buy a set of bolts?

It would probably be cheaper to get a set of pedestal mount RRs. I paid less than $200 for mine. You would have to have your heads off and get them machined most likely, not worth it.

Sounds like a pain. Im going to sell these on ebay and pick up a new pair. From what I see these retail for over 300 bucks. I can get probablly between 150-200 for them (I hope) ... just about the cost for a new set that bolt right on. Any suggestions for new 1s? Should I get 1.6 or 1.7? what brand? 5/16's ?

you do realize you have 1.6s stock. just not roller. slapping 1.6 rollers wont gain you any performance

Yes I know stock are 1.6. If I got some 1.6 rollers that would just mean less friction and maybe free up some horsies. So if i get 1.7 ... will they fit under the stock vavle covers? And will I feel a difference with the e-303?

1.7s depends on who makes them. certain brands work with stock covers. i know my svo 1.72s needed tall covers

when I had my 1.7's on with my b-303 cam it made a big difference.
I went back to 1.6 because I still have stock valvesprings.
