Now, every time i drive my car i hear a pinging noise. The machanic said it was the lifters in the engine. Is it true and how do i go about fixing it?

try retarding the time..I would say you have a streched timing chain. if retarding the time takes care of it

Well, let's say the timing thing doesn't work. Woud stroking it into a 347 help out at all? Or any stroker kit?
