Hey guys new to the forum and also new to the mustang world. i just bought a 1992 lx with the 5.0 motor. i got the car today and the MPH needle does not move. also the milage clock does not work or the trip clock. seeing as this is my first mustang i do not know what it could be or where to start looking to fix the problem. please any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Check the cable that runs to the transmission and unscrew it, check to see if the plastic speedo gear is broken or even installed? clean the inside of cable and gear hook it back up and try it?

definitely sounds like the speedo cable is broke
