Default Oil dipstick length.

New guy here. Just picked up a 93 5.0 and did an oil change. I know it takes a little over 5 qts, but it doesn't register on the dipstick. I added another qt (around 6.2 qts now) and the oil shows up on the bottom of the stick. I've read numerous discussion that ford had wrong size dipsticks. I'm not adding anymore, but if my length is to short, I wanna get a new one. Can someone measure theirs, so I can verify lengths. I have 306 motor.

306 is irrelevant, the engine takes 5 quarts with a stock pan. Do you perhaps have a non-stock pan?

I'm not sure its stock, just assume it is. Oil pressure seems about the same from before I changed the oil. All I know is the previous owner had traded his race engine for this one with install and eibach suspension system and install. Had it tuned down at Panhandle performance in Panama City. I have 6.2 qts in it now. I may drain a little.
