Car RPM's dropped to zero.....
So my Stang just randomly dropped RPM's down to zero while I was driving. The car seemed to still be on but no Revolutions and unresponsive to the gas pedal. I completly stopped, turned it off and It was solved. A similar incident happened a couple of days ago where I was turning and I pressed the gas pedal and it felt like the car was off. After a couple of seconds it responded. What could it be? Any sugestions?
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion mattdel, but if you don't mind me asking....how could this affect my situation. Not questioning your answer but I'd like a better insight or explanation to situations for my personal knowledge.
Thank You

The baffle surrounds the pump inside the tank, keeping it submerged in fuel, for cooling and sloshing reasons. When you corner and the car dies momentarily, then springs back to life, the reason is because the baffle is no longer around the pump and the fuel slosh caused a sudden drop in fuel pressure and volume, corrected by the slosh back.
Because of the design of the fuel tank, this problem is often (but not always) accompanied by a broken fuel gauge. What happens there is the baffle floats around and eventually whacks the sending unit float hard enough to snap it in various places. If this has happened, the pickup tube for the fuel pump is likely bent and will need correcting to fit inside a new tank.
