Default No Spark from new TFI.. What next?

Hey guys, new here but I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot of me.
I have an 87 5.0 LX that was recently running well then the spark crapped on me. Checked dist., nothing, checked TFI, nothing. Replaced TFI cause one on it looked old as sin, still nothing. What to do next? Thanks in advance!

PIP inside the dist, and coil.

PIP's tend to die immediately, while coil's tend to fall into gradual performance decline.

Might you know a way to test it? And if it is in fact the PIP or the Stator, would that cause me to not get spark at the coil?

MJR answered one of my questions here> https://mustangforums.com/forum/5-0l...-no-spark.html

Still looking for testing procedures. Is the PIP and/or Stator part of the Dist?

Another thing that perplexes me, It was intermittently dying before spark went away for good. I went and put fuel in it then on my way back to the house tried the cruise control to see if it functioned. It appeared to die then and hasn't started since. Is this just a coincidence or is this a possible culprit?
Thanks

Figured out my next steps by reading these awesome forums. Will post steps I am taking so the next guy has it easier.
Took ignition module off dizzy and having it tested. I realize the pip sensor is what send the signal to the ECU which tells the coil to spark. Will post results

Ignition Module tested bad. Is the PIP sensor separate from this piece of electronics? Don't want to destroy a new Ignition module because I didn't finish troubleshooting. Any input would be appreciated

Yeah its separate. I'm not sure of testing procedures for it individually. It also controls injector timing, so if you have some noid lights handy, check to see if you have injector pulse. If you don't, chances are good the PIP is dead.

I know the injectors are putting out fuel if that matters.. Would they just dump if PIP is bad or not spray at all?

Not spray at all. They might however still prime with the key, but they should not cycle with engine revolutions if the PIP is dead.

gotcha.. Could be priming.. Newb question and I promise I'll figure out the rest on my own lol.. : I pulled the dist in a hurry to get the Ign Module off. I have read on how to restab the dist to get close timing. what is the simplest way to get the motor to TDC?? Bumping the ignition? Or doing push ups on a large socket on the crankshaft? I am doing all this solo too.. Any advice would be appreciated..
