need help ID'ing cam
I pulled the cam out of my 302 and I can't tell what it is. There's no id markings on the face of it, but on the back it says BR and 1C17. On the neck of the cam just forward of where it sits in the last bearing it says Z8. I've been on google for the last 20 minutes and can't find anything. Any help?

what is the 302 out of? your sig says 89 gt 5.8. Those markings could be any thing.
Was there anything done to the engine that you know of.
I think your probly not seeing the z8 correctly it probly is ZE witch is fords way of saying Z = mustang and E = engine part. could You get some pics of the markings up ?
Probly the only real way to know exactly what it is , is to get the dial indicator out and start checking the lift and duration of it. Its possable the other markings are manufacturing codes or engine class codes.

yea I was just taking a guess at it cause honestly I did a google on it and couldnt find any thing with pertaining to any of those numbers or letters. Im guessing its stock but it could be a custom grind to .
If your handy with a dial indicator and an indexing wheel you can find out what it is
