Default fuel pressure goes down when hitting the gas

ok so i noticed today that my fuel pressure was a little high so i went to turn it down a little. when i hit the gas the pressure when down and not up like it should. I have a BBK adjustable regulator and walbro 255 that were both installed this past spring/summer. What would cause the fuel pressure to all of a sudden do that? It was fine before i went to adjust it. Does not feel like the car lost any power and isnt breaking up or anything, just drops a few psi when hitting the gas

I just got out of an issue like this, I changed the fuel filter and pump, and walaa! Plenty of fuel. Just because it's new doesn't mean it's not defective or weak.

what is the actual psi???? Just because you have a big GPH rating doesn't mean you will have more pressure....

I havnt had a chance to change the filter...the weather up here in NH hasn't been the greatest! When it's at idle its around 38psi...when I rev it up it drops to about 33. I have a bbk adjustable regulator and I can't even get the psi at idle to even get any lower... But it will let me raise the psi. When it was fine about a week ago I did notice that if I drive around for a while the psi would slowly get lower the longer I would drive. Could the pump be messed up even though its only been in for 7 months?

It is breaking up around 4000rpm and definitely doesn't have the power it should

What heads and cam are you running? If stock then your intake and TB are too big for what you have and I hope you plan on upgrading soon lol. Is the 38PSI with the vacuum line off? 5 psi drop isn't bad when you stop the gas. try raising the pressure up to around 40-42 and see how it looks. What sensor are you running in your MAF (part number on housing)?

As for the original post, you say the fuel pressure goes down when you rev it but doesn't come back up at full vacuum...that correct? How does the car do when the vacuum line is disconnected (and plugged) and driven?
