Default Terrible gas mileage!!!!!

For some reason my 90GT is getting about 7-8 mpg and was loving it as a daily driver but not for this MPG. When i get on it i can smell a hint of gas but not when crusing. I've even babied it for a hole tank and still got 145 mile on a full tank. If anyone has any idea were my gas is going im open to all suggestions.

any mods? what gears in the rear?
several things can affect fuel mileage.
Recent tune up? including air cleaner plugs wires cap roter.
Oil changed regularly?
It may have a bad fuel pressure regulator / pull the vacuum line off the regulator make sure there is no fuel on the vacuum side.
Stuck or sticky injectors staying open to long or not closing all the way.
Faulty ect sensor.
Timing to far advanced.
Faulty O2's
Faulty IAT sensor.

the only mods that i have are exhaust shorty headers, x-pype, and flowmasters end pype. It has had it tune up about 3k ago and put new plugs and wires and new cap roter. i change the oil every 3 months driven or not. I like to get under her skirt when ever i can. the timing was set at time of tune up.

I will have to have the rest of the stuff check cause ive been have fun driving her but would hate to for her to catch on fire like some of the other storys that ive heard of. Which do you think would be the most likey thing causing the problem.

Throttle position sensor may be going out or out of adjustment. Lot's of things, leaking fuel?

the throttle position would that cause my RPM's to raise up 400-500 RPM's when i push in the clutch. I think it leaking somewhere and hitting something hot thats why i cant find the leak.

I'm excited to see what solves your problem. I'm having the exhaust same issue all of a sudden. Going to try to pull codes today and see.

buy some new O2's Bosch is the OEM manufacturer...set the TPS to .99(you might have to jog the holes out with a drill bit) make sure the timing is at least set to 10 degrees(id bump it to about 14) i got 28mpg out on the interstate with my 91gt vert with stock gears

rockauto.com has the Bosch O2's for 25$ a piece you need 2 of them...

I'm also getting terrible gas mileage! My idle does fluctuate a lot...maybe I will change the tps in the spring. Could a bad coolant temp sensor cause bad mileage also? I don't have any codes though
