The cowl will also show what you don't get even also when the curve of it and the body don't match or when you tighten the screws down and it bows the plastic. if you don't get the middle part of the cowl right the right wiper will look funky also

I straightened mine out with a port a power, then hammer and anvil the small creases out. i will fill with very little mud before painting. I also had to fiberglass the hinge area of hood mount holes etc. I also was able to straighten the hood hinges with some hammering. Had chips on front of hood repaired them with duraglass has turned out nice. I can pm you the pictures if you like.

Yes. It definitely needs to be done by someone who knows what they're doing when straitening the metal back. I can tell you right now, that someone is not me. LOL! My baby is in otherwise near-mint condition. I suppose doing the job "right" means cutting out the old and installing a "new" (donor) panel... I just don't want to put her through that if I can avoid it.

I grabbed the center piece with my hand and pulled mine back straight, and after that I used a block of wood and pry bar from underneath to push the outside area level best I could, from there a stud gun and filler
