Default Help! Stalling at idle

My 94 5.0 stalls during parking when I go from drive to reverse and vica versa.

The idle speed is set to 550 to 600 rpms. Normal according to Haynes manual.

My question is... is there a common problem I should be looking at?
The manual says it could be a number of things including but not limited to: vacuum leak or emissions stuff.

Is there something that could have this effect and also cause the auto trans to shift 3-4 too soon? (my guess would be vacuum leak)

Any help here would be appreciated.

Idle should be closer to 750 to 800. Throw the Haynes manual in the garbage.

And as for the trans , yes its normal for the aode to shift like that , the aode is a slush box. not a bad trans with the right rear gears and a shift kit. But from the factory very slushy.

Ok, I did that. Works better now.
I looked under it for the first time since buying it and discovered a crap load of leaks.
Looks like a rear main seal, trans tail shaft seal, oil filter, both ends of the lower rad hose, and maybe the transmission pan.
The guy must have washed it before I looked at it. I didn't see any of that then.
Looks like I got some work ahead of me.
