1999 Ford E350 Van
I know that this is not a mustang question but you guys have helped a lot with my mustang questions so I thought maybe you could help with this. I have a 1999 E350 Van with a 7.3 Turbo diesel, replaced engine a couple of years ago so it only has about 60,000 on it. A month or so ago it started cutting out whenever I put it in reverse, would start right back up but now it is doing it a lot when I go to any gear and yesterday it starting cutting off when I came to a stop or go to take off. Thinking neutral safety switch. Thanks

I don't know much about diesels, but my saab has a turbo on it, and the tube that connect from the intercooler to the throttle body came loose and started loosing boost so it would bog down real bad and stall, eventually the tube came all the way off and it would barely run.
Now I do know that diesel has trouble in the cold , is it possible that with this recent cold snap your diesel is gelling up ?
Not sure what your temps were in Maryland the last few days, but we got hammered with snow and then daytime temps of -15 with windchill of -42

Hello from a fellow 7.3 owner.
I would check your engine to body ground. We had a wagoneer once that would do all sorts of wacky electrical hijinks when you manipulated the shifter. It turned out that the entire body was grounding through the shift linkage because of a broken ground strap to the body.
Barring that come on over to "ford truck enthusiast" and post your question in the appropriate 7.3 forum.
