Any way of converting power door locks to manual in 91 LX vert?
Not sure I care about having them power. Is it possible to? Could I just kill power to the actuators, and add extensions to the locks so they can be pulled up? I am dreading going through swapping out the actuators eventually on my 91, read the other thread, and wondered if this was possible.....
Oh, will have the 91 white vert back tuesday night.

swapping actuators is simple.....pull the panel off, make sure window is up, and on the outside of the jam is the large rivet that holds them on, grind head off, new actuators usually from my experience have come with a new rivet, you'll just need a large rivet gun to resecure to the jam.

You keep saying a 'Large Rivet Gun'........Can you give me en example? I worked for cessna for 3 years building wings, so I know how to rivet. But where do you buy a rivet tool big enough? The small pop rivet guns are not large enough?

a big rivet gun like this
as for the power delete. take a punch and knock out the center of the rivet. then drill out the head. pop the door panel off and remove the actuator. reinstall the door panel congrats you now have manual door locks

But wouldn't I need lock pieces that would sit higher and be pullable? Do the door locks that stand above the door sill have threads? I am thinking like my 67 fastback I had 10 years ago.....

im sure you could go to autozone and get some lock rods to put on...i always just pushed locked them and if i need to unlock it someone was probably getting in. id just pull the inside door handle and bam its unlocked.
