you can replace the stator in the dizzy but you'll need to disassemble the distributor and remove the dizzy gear

And while your at it, take your TFI module in and get it tested at a local parts chain. Have them test it 3 times in a row, just to get it hot.

I believe there mounted to the drivers side fender on your '95. They used to be mounted directly to the dizzy on Fox's, but they moved them to the fender on the SN cars. Less heat.....

Get a motorcraft pip sensor. I just bought one off ebay from Tasca Ford for $38.18. Also bought a TFI module. Took the ones off my MSD dizzy to put on motorcraft electronics.

You need roll pin punches and a press to take the shaft out to replace the PIP sensor.

Basically knock roll pins out of gear and collar then push shaft out of distributor from the bottom. Remove PIP sensor and reinstall in reverse.

Heres a link detailing pip sensor replacement. Its a minor pain in the butt job,but its very doable for an average mechanic. The hardware store sells roll pins.Roll pins are used to lock the distributer gear and collar to the distributer shaft.Without the roll pin,the gear would simply spin around the distributer shaft as the camshaft rotates. Most guys choose to replace the whole distributer instead of dealing with the pip sensor hassle.
