Default Speedometer Cable Gear Replacement

I recently had my stock 2.73 gears swapped out and had a Ford Racing 3.73 gear kit installed and am looking to try and swap in a new speedometer cable gear I got from LMR (their gear calculator was helpful).

I've done some searching, and it seems that this is a fairly simple job that I am probably over-thinking. I will be using a set of ramps as I do not have a lift, and am wondering if transmission fluid will leak out when I remove the speedometer cable.

Should I have a quart of transmission fluid handy when I begin this job, or will it not be necessary?

Thank you in advance for any help.

If you have the back on ramps then no you won't leak fluid. Even on flat ground a full trans only drips a bit and it's just residual.
