New Spark Plug and Ignition Kit for 94 5.0
Hey,
Im pretty new to all of this but have owned a 94 mustang gt for awhile. My car right now is pretty stock. It is running really weak right now. The acceleration is horrible. I just cleaned my air filter. Now I want to buy new spark plugs, spark wires, rotor, and distributor cap. Does anyone have recommendations for what I should get? It doesnt need to be top of the line. But I also dont mind spending some money for some performance gain, I want to get my car running as smoothly as possible. Thanks.

Ignition parts will only help restore function from however worn out the current components are. You won't gain anything more than stock power on an otherwise stock engine.
All you really need to worry about with the distributor cap/rotor kit is to look for one with brass terminals. Parts stores usually have brass terminals on their "premium" or "gold" parts.
For wires, I use the M-12259-M301 Ford Racing set. At 9mm, they're overkill, but not very expensive. The downside is that the wires are too thick to fit in the separators, so I use zip-ties to keep them routed nicely.
Our 5.0s are quite happy with the stock-style copper-core spark plugs, like the Motorcraft SP450 or Autolite 25. No need for anything fancy like platinum or whatever.
