You gotta check out your contstant hot. I'm not to sure what color either red or orange. Just check the manuel and look for what color is the constant hot. Then check it out.

well for sparkies who never spin their own wrenches it is probably easier to do it electrically, but for us mechies who arent computer nerds and like to use our hands it is easier with carb. </P>

Ok my problem isn't fixed at all, and im sick of it. If I turn the car off for less tthat 15 seconds or so, the stereo does not reset and all my presets are there... but If I turn off the car for longer, it DOES reset, what does this tell me? Help im tired ofo this bs.................

It means your constant power isn't hooked directly to the battery. Either that or your ground isn't good.
Yellow wire should be your ingnition switched +12v, red wire should be hooked directly to a battery source. Make sure there's an inline fuse, but grab a test light with the ignition off and start probing until you find a decent power supply.
Also verify that your ground connection is good.
PS it's awesome to see a technical question addressed by a woman. Gives me hope that not all women are as inept as my sister.
