Default Supercharger vs turbo

when ever i see a turbo car at the drags they back fire alot and brake. Is this just running to much boost or not the right tune? anyone know?

Default Supercharger vs turbo

Back fires are usually caused by fuel lean I'm not quite sure. As for turbo lag, a twin turbo kit will minimize lag cause one turbo works at lower rpm and the other at high rpm, this is the main reason Porsche switched from single turbo to twins at 1996.

superchargers are top boost all the time power anytimeyou want it </P>


turbos have to spool up. ussually won't kick in until about 3000RPM also not very cost effective every turbo system i see is in a pure drag car </P>


go with superchager. they are less expensive and there are more to chose from.</P>

any car running boost will blow up if not properly tuned NOS turbo, superchager</P>

s/c are not top boost all the time I can drive 55 with only 2 psi..maybe you mean it's on demand at any time huhu?

I mean at open throttle you ave full boost at any RPM</P>

Then why did John Lingenfelter and John Hennessey put Twin Turbos on there cars not superchargers? some people say superchargers are better in drag races, turbos are better in street racing that requires superb top speed power. Turbos are better for street use but far more difficult to tune.
