Supercharger vs turbo
Back fires are usually caused by fuel lean I'm not quite sure. As for turbo lag, a twin turbo kit will minimize lag cause one turbo works at lower rpm and the other at high rpm, this is the main reason Porsche switched from single turbo to twins at 1996.

superchargers are top boost all the time power anytimeyou want it

turbos have to spool up. ussually won't kick in until about 3000RPM also not very cost effective every turbo system i see is in a pure drag car

go with superchager. they are less expensive and there are more to chose from.

Then why did John Lingenfelter and John Hennessey put Twin Turbos on there cars not superchargers? some people say superchargers are better in drag races, turbos are better in street racing that requires superb top speed power. Turbos are better for street use but far more difficult to tune.
