That post ohsoquik i can respect and have no problem with. Its just when you start criticizing something and then take it further by saying its a redneck thing and what not that i feel the need to step up and speak my opinion. But yes i totally agree that they both have their places and for a daily driver i think efi is great. But for a performance vehicle i PERSONALLY prefer a carbed setup.Again i say its total opinion.

If everything is up to code and working good you can just run what you got on the msd box.Thats what im going to do.I plan to run my duraspark 2 distributoron the msd box and coil. But thats because i've got countless hours in setting up this distributor to be perfectly tailored to my engine. But from what i've seen msd makes some very nice distributors so its all up to you. Both ways will work great if installed correctly.

one thing i have to say defending the efi setups. i got a buddy that runs mid 10s on juice and low 11s on motor. with stock intake,TB,MAF,injectors and gets 20+mph on the highway with his 373gear'd, 4kstall LS1. his work is in the cam and porting of heads alos LS1 edit. The dude has 10k into his car including the car itself. 99 camaro SS.
i know this is apples and oranges but Todays fuel injection is above the best so far.
