Valve Covers clearing
My stock valve covers need to be replaced and was gonna go through summit to buy them. But ther are hardly any good looking valve covers for EFI, so I started wondering why the other valve covers wouldnt fit? Do I have to get valve covers for EFI or will any other fit? I have Trick Flow track heat...

Thanks for the help

You can use other V/C's but what you need to really watch for is clearance if you have 1.6 or 1.7 RR's.Look through a FRPP catalog they have some very nice ones in there and they make all sorts of styles. If you arent looking for a "BLING BLING" valve cover pull yours and have them hot tanked then sand them down and paint them.Hell you can barely see them anyways under all the EFI crap and that huge intake that ford uses. Not to mention you will still be money ahead to do them yourself.Use the high temp 1500 degree engine paint if you do do them yourself.

Thats why id rather use the 3 3.4 in. once and use a dremel if they dont fit

Acutally, i have a 3/8 spacer on my upper to loweer, so even the tall covers should clear

so convert it to carb so you can see them i know trick flow sells some that are tall so they will clear the 1.7s. they are nice, but would be kinda dumb if you dont have any trick flow stuff. i like a lot of the FRPP ones, talk about bling bling!

LOL i agree convert it.

You do not want to be dremeling on your v/c its a waste they make what you need.It would be trial and error even if you could do it and i wouldnt take a chance on them not fitting or being off a little and firing it up to only bend a pushrod ruin a valve or screw up the valve cover just spend the money on what you want.Or do the restoration on your stock ones if you dont want to fork out the cash for the aftermarket ones.
