Default 5 lug conversion

So I have decided that I am going to convert my 90 notch to 5 lug to get some FR500s. The problem is I dont know what tire demensions to get with 17 inch wheels. I was also wondering if 17x10.5 would fit in the rear without rolling the inner fender or anything like that. or i could go 18s with 18x10 in the rear. Oh and i did search for my answer, but couldnt find it anywhere on the site.

No the 10's will not fit with out major massaging of sheet metal...And you could run 255/40/17 or 245/45/17's, but the 255 looks alot better on 17x9's.What kind of conversion are you going to do.Svo rotors??Sn-95

Well I decided not to risk it with the 17x10.5 wheels. I would have if i didnt just have my car painted, but now i just got what fits, 17x9.
hmm now time for some springs and shocks...

I'm not 100% sure about the fittings for the 17" wheels, but I think its roughly the same tire dimesions as the 18" except for the middle number is basically 5 more...and the ending number would be 17 instead of 18.

Basically I'm planning on going 5 lug, but putting 2k cobra wheels on my car 18x9(.5?) and for the front tires, I'm going with a 2454018 (245/40/ZR18) and the rear I'm going with a 2753518 (275/35/ZR18); I work in a tire shop so I know a bit about what I'm talking about...although I'm still the new guy. But for 17" wheels, the same width of the tires (first numbers) should still work, its just the second number will need to add 5 or maybe 10 to. Most likely a 2455017 on the front and a 2754017 would work for a 17" wheel. You should be able to get away with a 2454517 in the front if you want a little less sidewall.

ORIGINAL: 50mikey

well I was looking at the kit that 50resto has for now, until i can afford the 4 wheel cobra disc conversion.
That kit is nothing more than lincoln mark VII rotors, and the proper wheel bearings and seals, ranger axles, and ranger drums. Grab either two passanger side axles from an 86-97 Aerostar, or two drivers side axles from an 83-92 Ford ranger, and use the ranger/aerostar drums.

Ill be doing something similar, but since the Tbird uses SN95 width axles, im going to grab some of those, and have the center hub of some ranger drums machined out to the same size as the SN95 axles, and run that untill i can also afford the cobra brakes.
