I realy dont get the bad rep the T5 gets I understand if you put a bunch of power to it it will genade but if you are a little nice to it it will hold up well I have 95k on mine & it has no issues</P>

how many t-5s have you broke?
Anyone know how much or can point me in the direction to find out how much a new T-5 and a new tko would cost? Also, my 4th gear sometimes grindes when the engin is cold enough, is that a sign of a trans. going bad?

thanks every one,,for the input..just wanted to know ,,v fast you never broke one,,is that because you don't have one...are you an auto man...broke mine because i had to much power .and stripped the teeth right off..<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"> <edited><editID>hotrodman</editID><editDate>38028.5470486111</editDate></edited>

11......in one car...<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">........one of the ones that i broke when i pulled it out two of my friends were there.i took the top of the case off and all three of us were amazed....one of the shift forks were gone!!!!...no hole in the case or anything...just gone.

i'm still on my first. it has almost 200,000 on it. 1st synchro is just starting to go bad. plus the thing got full of water one night when i was coming home and ran into like 3 feet of water and my car got flooded. the only other problem i had is the speedo gear breaking (it froze because of the water and snapped) i dump it at 4000 regularly too. at least every other day. i also dont see what the problem with them is. i have 3 extra ones just incase something happens....but this one seems to be just fine, and from an 84.
