You can do that. With a lightened Mustang with ALOT of suspension work and a tranny break, you could easily hit high 12's with some slicks.
Look at Pure street in the NMRA, they hit low 11's - mid 10's With mustangs and 70% of what they do is all suspension work.

Never ran completely stock but here are the stages:
fender mount CAI w/ 75mm MAF - 14.3 @ 98 (street tires)
previous mods + full exhaust - 14.2 @ 99
^^ + gears and DRs - 13.8 @ 99 (clutch is slipping though, i personally think with a better launch she has more in her)
My 0-60 is around 5.5 seconds without heating the DRs

Not to talk crap at all, cuz i am soon going to be a 5.0 Stang owner, but my POS talon awd runs low 11s on stock motor but with tons of bolt ons and 25psi running 323AWHP. I was hoping get into the ford muscle scene to get a faster car, that way more reliable than having to rebuild my tranny and engine every year! I love the 5.0 stang and hope to get into the 12's again. lol

i got a v6 and i bet i spank a 5.0 its 2002 with cold air kit 373 and preditor tuner runs 9.80 at knoxville drag way a stock gt runs tens i run them every friday night and they always think in spraying but im not so dont knock a v6 and look at ur 2011 v6 and knock that and i also have a 5.0 race car i just have respect for the little 6
Yea I saw the light about a year ago, but was unable to finace the 98 Cobra I was going to get, damn insurence[:@], so I settled for a 95 GT which I could buy in full and pay less on insurance that what I did on the sixer. Like I said, only reason I still go to the sixer forum is that's because that's where I've spent most of my time since I joined, but ever since I got the GT they suddenly have gotten the urge to start calling stock 5.0Ls "dogs" that's an exact quote, and it's really getting on my nerves. I mean seriously, they look at hp only, but fail to remember that their punie little V6s only put out 180 or so rw torque stock, and still put out 20 or so less rwhp stock than a 5.0L not to mention that the fastest sixer is still nearly a second slower than the 5.0Ls stock (04 and earlier) and even the sn197 V6s would have a hard time hanging with them. Like I said, I still consider them my buds, but the BS and smack talking they're doing is really getting on my nerves. And I'd post more in here, but my 5.0L knowledge is still limited while on the flipside I know just about everything there is to know about sixers, well all except the really technical stuff.
