Default EEC nightmare

Hey, new to the forum and hoping some one can help with this. Swapped driveline from my 90 GT to a 93 LX 4 cyl. hatch. Used 90 instrument cluster, computer and chassis harness from 93 car a friend was parting out. Ran OK for about 8 months with only a hot start problem. Then in Feb. the voltage reg. on PA Perf. 135A alt. quit, 17 volts to the system and it died. Code scanner wouldn't communicate, MSD dead, fuel pump wouldn,t cycle. Fixed alt., bypassed MSD for now, put in another A9P computer, ran great for 2 weeks, only a couple of gauges acting weird. Then it dies again, same symtoms, pump won't cycle and scanner will not read from test plug. What did I forget to do? Computers are getting rare around eastern NC.
