It's a cool idea, just a bit over priced for what it is. I would consider it for around $500 but almost 2 grand?

Hell just a decent hand pump floor jack will run you $200-300

Not quite. I bought my 4000lb craftsman floor jack from sears for 150 bucks. That's a really nice jack too. Not a cheapy. That device may save me a bit of time on getting the car up in the air but in the end, your paying 2g's for something that is only going to give you a couple more inches over some jack stands.

Heck, if you really want ease, quickness, and a safer way of getting your car in the air, invest in a set of 40 dollar car ramps. Drive your front two tires up on the ramps and then put the rears on some jack stands. That's plenty quick, very safe, and simple.

Why not pay a few hundred more and get a two post car lift?
75"+ lift height
Post lifts are great but .......

take up a lot of space
are a pain to install
cant take it over to my friends house to work on his car
cant take it with me when/if I move
ect.
ect.

Portability and low storage impact are important to me.
You can move it with you if you moveand your friends can come to your place.
But I can agree with the other ones.
I can't talk though, I'll still be usng floor jacks and jack stands.
Yes... then they leave all their used oil, coolant, shop rags, old parts, and their mess with you for you to clean up later...
so true, has happened to me on multiple occasions.

I tried that once, worked very well. Since my car is so low i have to build up 2x4s infront of the ramp so my car's bumper doesn't scrape against the ramp so by the time i do all that i might as well just put the front up on jack stands too. My jack lifts the car high enough to do any exhuast or transmission work so it'll do for now.

This thing ROCKS !!!!!!!!

20" in the air in 2 mins with a power drill ........ and still have another 6+" of lift left.

What about some pics under it? Can pull the trans without anything in the way?

Does it feel safe?

Gave it couple of good shoves, seems as stable as fully extended jack stands.
It didnt topple over but felt like it could if you tried hard enough. same same there.

The whole thing feel more substantial than jack stands to me.

Yes. you can take one of the cross bars out and easily take a trans
or driveshaft out.

Nothing is covered up that you need to get to.

I could easily roll on a creeper between the two legs as pictured with TONS of
room to spare.

I still want to fab up some simple 14+" wheel stands to sit it back onto also
for ultimate in safe and work clearance.
