Weird, it showed that picture as one of my spindle pictures from my phone last night. Got on here today to fix it and it has the correct pictures.

Those should look pretty good on there.

At least the weather has stayed decently warm lately lol.

Yeah man. I was going to take advantage of the 67 degree high tomorrow to shoot my hatch but other stuff has came up and I won't have time unfortunately.

I installed one of my new quarter windows. I'm pretty sure I read to use 1/4" butyl strip for the window so that's what I got. However, it wasn't thick enough so I had to double it up and I'll have to buy another roll now. They fit pretty good, much better than the original SD repros from what I've heard.

It looks too bare with out the "Mustang" text in them.. Oh well, they aren't scratched and the rubber isn't deteriorated like the originals were..

Figure a bit of sun should correct this.

This spot was a little bit off compared to the originals, but it's close.

Still trying to get that passenger window to adjust properly. I just can't seem to pull the top in far enough at the back to get it to seal completely...

Those windows look good. Hell you could even just get a sticker made if you really really wanted to. I bought the nos ones with the mustang there but damn i regret it. Coulda spent it else where. Can't wait to see this thing finished.

Yeah I wanted to get them but I've already spent too much on this car haha. When I first bought it I didn't even plan on painting it or taking it comepletly apart like I did or even a 5 lug conversion. I think I have spent a good 3000+ more than I originally planned but the way I see it is when it's done it will be worth it to me. Getting a sticker made is a good idea but I don't know if it would look quite right ya know? since it would be ontop of the glass instead of under.

Painted my hatch tonight. Hatch, hood, and fenders will be mounted this weekend. Tomorrow I'm going to paint my other caliper and my drums. Plan to do the 5 lug swap this weekend and mount my wheels. Also plan on priming my bumpers and side skirts and doing the drivers side weather strip. Still can't get the passenger side window adjusted right....

Tried to swap my axles today. Turns out autozone's axle seals are the wrong ones. Their system says 2.4xx outside diameter, where as the 8.8 uses 2.2xx outside diameter. Found this out after I pulled one axle and noticed the new seal was slightly too big. Oh and not to mention one of them was bent! Just hope I can find my receipt so I can return them..

Anyways, had to put it back together so I could slide it over on the dollies. thought I'd throw my 5 lug axle on and a new wheel so I could see it. The 245/45r17's are almost an inch taller than the 215/50r15's that were on there. Fills the wheel well much better and looks great. Thinking about getting some lowering springs now since it will be sitting higher.

*edit* just realized that picture was before I took it off the jackstands. If I remember I'll snap another.

Also, my axle tag says I have 2.73 gears. Turns out someone put in 3.55's at one point. Not sure if the speedometer gear was changed or not. I was actually kind of happy I had 2.73 for the gas mileage, oh well being a little faster won't hurt either

I got the 3g swap done. Also got the front and rear bumper painted along with the tail light housing. I'm glad that I decided to mould the front grill insert in because it looks really good that way.

I forgot to take pictures, but for my tailights I pulled the GT lenses off. I then cleaned the inside and freshend them up with some "chrome" paint for the shinny part and black for the part with no light. Sealed them up with 1/4" butyl strip.

After getting everything together I have discovered that my turn signals don't work. I'm really hoping it's just the flasher and not the switch..

Out of the garage, onto a trailer. Off to get the alignment done and MM FL Subframe connectors welded in. Also having the frame checked for warpage before the SFC's. Then it will be off for a new windshield.

Been a long time since I've posted any pictures. The car's close to being done. I had to do the heater core, that was a load of fun. I still need to paint the engine bay, trim pieces, do some wetsanding and buffing and some other minor stuff. I've been driving it around some here and there. The mirror wasn't on in the picture as I had taken it off for some reason ( can't remember why lol it was a while back that I took this picture)

I also have most of the interior back in it now. As you can see, I've got the sideskirts and plastic pieces panted and put on.

FiveOhFox, great thread, and great work!

Glad to see someone taking the time to restore a fox. I'm going to look at an '87 GT with T-Tops on Wednesday. With any luck, I'll be driving it home that afternoon.

They're pretty cool cars. When I say it has T-Tops everyone is like "a Mustang with T-Tops? I didn't know they made them." Makes it feel like you have a rarity (which they kind of are!) I've put entirely way more time and money into it than I had initially planned, but it's better than I ever expected.

I'm still working on the finishing touches and still need to get the windows and T-Tops adjusted right to where it won't leak if I get rained on. I usually only drive it on sunny days, but it'd be nice to not worry about getting soaked if I get rained on.

Been there done that, it helps to have 55 gallon size trash bags with you.
