you guys have any tips on how to change my power windows to manual? any kits out there or better yet something i could get from a salvage yard. this might be a dumb question but here it goes is there anything i should know before i change my power locks to manual? thanks

just curious .. why would you want to do that ? is it for weight reduction lol

There isn't that much weight savings there. The glass is what heavy. Other than that the best way is to find a donor car at a salvage yard

not for weight reduction it is an ssp it originally had manual windows i think? the main reason is i like manual windows and my motors are tired and they should be less. do you guys think there are other ford cars/trucks that would work as donors? i am having little luck on the web and i live in western KY and they seem to have no Fox's at the bone yard, if i do change to manual can i use a reg power door skin and just modify it? also does anyone sell the power window delete plates? thanks again guys

Hey, ive got a similar thing planned but my situation is a little different. My doors are rotted and i have good door panels and theyre manual windows. Can i buy a door with power windows and just take out the power window assy and throw in my manual ones?

it'd be easier to grab the doors off one with manual indows and stuff, as long as door panels are appropriate colot, I 'd slap ready doors on it and paint them

id think most SSPs would be power, because cops make so much contact with the public etc and it would be a chore to roll them up and down etc

is there anyway to use/modify a 94-95 manual window to a fox or does it have to be a fox donor?

the reason for using power doors was they seem to be much more common on craigslist and the cheaper and nicer doors ive found have been power, I just want to know if its possible to switch power windows to manual windows

they need to be fox parts, i'm not sure if something like a futura will work but i know they were based on a similar platform to the fox. similar dash and door panels etc. you can give those a shot
