Having issues! 94 gt roller w/87 5.0 mtr and trans project
Hello all! I'm a newb.... but none the less not dumb.
I have a 1994 GT "roller" that I bought for a project car. This project is just getting started, and it's my first project.
I've already put in the motor and trans and as one can imagine I'm having some issues between the car being a different model year than the motor/tranny. I hope I posted this in the right place as well, if not please advise - and if so my apologies!
Could someone advise me on what is needed for to change from an EFI to carbsystem? I have installed an edlebrock 600cfm and intake and I just ordered a lokar SRK 4000 bracket, but I don't know if the stock kickdown cable that came on the tranny will work, as well do I need to replace the throttle cable coming out of the fire wall? I also ordered a Performer 3 port fuel pressure regulator since I'm using the EFI feul pump for now.
Also, there is a connector on the transmission that I believe is the neutral/reverse indicator? I did a lot of research to try and find the cable harness that connects to this but I've had no luck.
I would like to use an HEI Distributor, any thoughts? How would one get the car running by by-passing the computer?
My goal is to eventually add horsepower to the motor but that will have to wait till I have more money.
