I would of posted this in the racing section, but I couldn't.
I have a '87 GT Obviously and it was given to me by my Father-in-law, It's a bone stock GT with 66k, 302/5 speed.
My brother is a camaro guy and has a 1990 Camaro Iroc-Z, the last year they made the Irocs-Z, and he has the 350/auto setup.
Who will win in a race, but more importantly, what do I have to do to beat his car? Such as mods. I recently sold my Thunderbird and have $1500-$2000 to spend on mods.
His car is stock also but with 80k miles on it.

The camaro will obliderate you. A H/C/I setup will allow you to have the upper edge, and then some, for probably in the area of ~2500
Those cars have 225(or 230?) horsepower and 330trq, but it's mated to a slushbox. They were lucky to run low 15's. If you can drive, you should win; but it should be a pretty close race. Instead of spending your $$, do a few free/cheap mods. Bump up the timing to 14-15 degrees, remove the air silencer in the fender and plug in a K&N airfilter, add a pair of cheap underdrive pulleys and you'll be ready to rock.
