I also used a 3.8 Taurus, although My friend has a Mark VIII on his and it covers the whole radiator. Tight fit at the waterpump pulley, though.
My Taurus fan only uses low speed and cools great. Draws about 16 amps on low. Over 42 on high!!

i picked up a dual fan set up off a 3.8 tuarus. i havent put it up against my radiator yet

Luckily I work in an auto parts store. I tried all the above listed fans and a few more. I like the way the Contour duel fan fits the best. It seems to cover more of the radiator. I can get a new one at work for $103 + tax. I'm going to the junk yard @ 2PM when I get off to check their price and get a 6G alternator & harness. Also to get the harness for the fan.

I ended up getting one at the junkyard. I got it with all the wiring, the wiring for the 6G alt and a passengers side power mirror for $45.

I would go with the taurus, more of them dead in junkyards and its used the most on stangs. You can pick it up for $25 or so at the yard or better yet, get one new for $65 on ebay.

I can get the Taurus fan from where I work for $67 new. I didn't like the coverage of the Taurus fan. It might cool fine, but it looks like it doesn't belong on the radiator. I wanted something that looked more factory. The Contour fan looks better in my opinion. I paid $30 for it. There was a least 15 in the yard I went too, 6 of them were V6 motors. I have 5 junkyards within 20 minutes of me. Plus if all else fails, I can get a new Dorman Contour fan from where I work. I tested it and it really moves some air especially on high speed. I also ordered Haydens new 2 speed controller part # 3654 and a 6G alt. I will be removing the radiator one night this week to mount up the fan. I should be intalling everything this weekend as long as all the parts come in.
