Default new to mustangs. need help

I just purchased a 94 gt 5.0 today. the car has 226000 miles on it. body has a few spots with dents and surface rust. the problem is the transmission is out of it. it is the t5 manual. the guy told me that every gear would pull but 5th. and he said there were chunks that were pretty good size inside the case. im assuming that its from the 5th gear, anyways he said that one of the gears was pretty much sheared off ( assuming 5th again). so what im asking is there a way to get everything rebuilt for a decent price or should i just try and find a used t5 somewhere? i would be doing the rebuild myself.
