I got the show, now its time for the go.
Hello folks. First post here, great site. I searched for my answer on this site, maybe it's here, maybe I'm missing it - so I'll apologize if this exact question has been asked before.
I have a 1995 GT vert and just restored the interior, and am having the exterior mods completed as we speak. I will get it back from the paint/body shop on Dec 31 (saleen gfx kit, s-351 wing, mach-3 hood, c-scoops, lite-bar, 18" chrome cobra-r wheels 305/35 rear & 265/45 front - and custom paint job-tripple black with a few drops of blue pearl mixed in).
Now it's time for the go.
The only things done to the motor so far is new plugs, wires, distributer cap & rotor, new air filter, smog pump delete.
I will be having Pypes off-road x-pipe and Pypes cat-back installed at the first of the year when I get it back from the body shop.
I think I have decided on a budget-minded h/c/i setup. I really like the Trickflow h/c/i kit that summit has for the 5.0, but I've read in quite a few places that if you add a kennebelle blower that it doesnt exactally bolt up correctly to the trickflow lower intake.
So, a buddy of mine told me to check out FRPP stuff. Summit has the:
Ford Racing GT-40 Cylinder Heads ------ $469.95
Ford Racing Camshafts - F303 ---------- $195.95
Ford Racing Cobra U/L Intake Manifolds --$529.95
Total: $1195.85
I figured, going with FRPP parts, I should have no problems and when I do a kennebelle blower in a year or so, it bolts up to the gt40 lower with no mods necessary.
So is this a good setup? Will I need to add bigger injectors, MAF sensor, fuel pump, etc? What HP numbers can I expect?
BTW, the car is an automatic will swap a t-56 into it sometime this year.
Thanks in advance folks.
Great forum.

those heads from summit are 469 each not per pair just so you know.
Your friends right though about the kenne bell. It comes in two options, stock intake and gt40/explorer/cobra intake. If your planing on getting the kenne bell in the near future i'd look at a local junkyard for a 5.0 explorer intake, it will get you an increase for now and is much cheaper then a cobra intake.

if it was me, id buy the trickflow kit, then when im going to do the blower go to the scrap yard get a 5.o explorer lower intake AKA gt40 intake and just use that and sell the trick flow for some extra cash for the blower build up

ebay has a set of gt40 heads (explorer) for $170 bucks and upper and lower gt40 heads (explorer) for 200-$300.
Does it pay to buy the heads and u&l intake then have them ported and polished?
Also, there is a brand new set of Cobra u/l intake for $494.95
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/86-93...item3ca42acad8
Would it pay to just buy the brand new cobra u/l or the explorer gt40?
Thanks for the helpful info folks.
PS - I am in NTX for the fella who asked.
