Smile First time track newbie

Long story short my birthday is coming up and my gf is taking me to the track as partial gift the car is completely unmolested, also have straight pipes from headers back, having a cobra clutch installed..i know i kno.. still have air silencer on it. I know to get rid of that, but the question i have for you is what rpm's to launch it at, when to shift and what can i do to tweak it to gain a little hp and torque? Advance the timing to 10* maybe more, shed the back seat even? And also plan on gettting some sub frames before i go. Stock gears as well. Just need some tips and what to expect. Just wanting to know what it runs and how well she runs, and keep track as i go along puttin mods on. If this is in the wrong section sorry for that. thanks for the advice.

Just go run her and tell us the times ...Good start mod is get rid of those 2.73s gear and put in the 3.73's. It will wake your car right up!

If its your first time just go out and have fun. Your not gonna get great times being your first time. So just have fun with it. If you try to hard you will end up with worse times. Just pretend your at a stop sign and your gonna take off as fast as you can without spinning tire.

And i know those gears arent gonna do me justice, its on my list of either 3:73's or 4:10, i see people say go 4:10 or nothing at all? Hopefully i cant get them installed before i go and run it. My buddy has a shop and throw them in for about $330
