302 Horsepower

302 Horsepower
I am building a new 302 for my 90 GT. I have a standard bore 302 block and am looking to build it to 400-500+ horsepower. What crank, rods, heads, cam, intake etc will I need to do so? I am new to Fords and have been building Chevy's for a long time so any help would be appreciated. I am also wondering if I should leave the EFI or naturally aspirate????? I am looking forward to your responses and help. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

without supercharging a 302 it'll be tough to hit that rwhp...........if you plan to make it NA then stroke it to 347..........with the right parts you'll hit around 400-425 rwhp if your shooting closer to 500, ditch the block and get an aftermarket block for a solid foundation, with an 8.2 deck block, I'd build a big bore 347/363.......with decent parts 450+ with ease

check this guy out, bought my 347 short block from him, his customer service surpasses all and I mean "all" www.fordstrokers.com

I could sell you an engine, ready to go. drop it in and crank it up. for $4000. 347, high compression. runs on pump gas. makes tons of power and is in excellent shape. The engine has less than 3k on it, and maybe 1k miles on the heads and valvetrain.
Im looking to build a new motor... only reason im trying to sell it.
BTW, it would come with headers and mid pipe to.

it can be done with a 302 but you'll have to spin it to the moon and on a stock block it probably wouldnt last long. it'd be easier and lower RPM's with a 347.....buy adders motor...it's the cheaper solution.
