Default looking to build 300whp all motor

I'm not new to building card or engines but i am new to building 302s

I just got a 94gt and am looking to build an engine to put down around 300rwhp

Im not looking for someone to walk me through it, just basically what size cam, what heads, what compression ratio...just basics from your experience

Basically i want to get into the low 13's all motor and maybe spray 100-125 shot later down the road

ugh, i forgot you can't edit.... also should i stick with fuel injection or turn it into a carb engine?

stock shortblock, TFS top end kit (with Track Heat intake), swap out for TFS 2 cam, MEASURE PTV!!!!!!!!!!, 75mm TB, 75mm MAF, 30# injectors, longtubes, OR X, your choice of catback, 3.73's.

should put you in the 320-330rwhp range.

and way fast than low 13's if you have any clue how to drive...

will the tranny in my car hold that np or do i need to do some upgrading on it as well?

also what about the stock shortblock/tranny adding 100hp of nitrous

well what tranny do you have? aod-e nah, you'll burn it up in short notice, and a t-5 should take it but hell you can tear them up with the stock motor if you have no clue what you're doing. The 100 shot would be testing you bottom end pretty heavy, handle it yes but how many times.


by the way, you can edit, its down in the lower right of the post box, unless they changed rules for new guys where you aren't allowed to. btw FUEL INJECTION your car came with it, why downgrade?

alright ill stick to just motor then, its a stock 94 gt tranny (no idea how to tell) can u from the vin

If it's an Automatic, it will be an AOD. A manual Standard Transmission is a t-5.

Basically the same setup I had with my 302 and I made 321rwhp 330trq with 160k miles on the bottom end, and one pretty dead cylinder.


you would have to drive pretty bad not to hit mid/low 12's with that set up, even with the AOD-e trans, you can hit high 12's with the stock converter even.
