4.56 gears
im wondering if getting 4.56 gears would be worth it, i currently have 3.73. a few other fox bodies in town are running 4.10s so im thinking about taking it a step further. would it be too low end for daily driving

To me that much gear starts to hurt you more than helps. The reason is yeah you're getting that much torque multiplication but 5.0's as well as many ford engines have low end power. If you have gears like that and you decide to race then you are going to keep your rpm in the upper range, and when you do that you're missing your power band. Not to mention, you are going through more gears. The torque multiplication sounds good but there are factors like that that just hurt more than help.

Unless your engine has a redline of 7500 rpm you're wasting your time... especially with a 5spd... you'll be constantly shifting and regret putting them in when you find out you're better off pulling out from a dead stop in 3rd gear rather than 1st.
Now if you want to enter your car in a stump pulling contest, by all means go for it. Slap some big mudder tires on, get in line with all the diesel trucks, back up to the sled and hook up, then let 'er fly. lol.

if its an AOD then 4.30 is good
a 5 speed and 26" tire is perfect, you'll trap at about 5200-5400 rpm
then if your going on a road trip use some 28's to pull the rpm down a couple hundred
4.56 is a bit steep, but i wouldnt say to NOT do it, you'll see that you probably need 28" tires though, which knocks you back down
4.10 is perfect tho...

but i never thought youd frown on a 4.56 haha, your all about the high dig gears!
Op i agree with the rest, 4.30s if you want, 4.56+ are really only available for the hcore trailer queens *5.oh kid * *cough cough*
but if you can deal with the lack of road efficiency and run a tall tall tire when needed go for it.
going from 3.73 to 4.10s is kind of a unnecessary stretch, but if you have the time, eh why not
