Another follow up question. How many of you all with PP plan on using it as a daily driver? Also, I expect the tires are soft compound, I'm curious what the expected tread life is on the stock tires? I'd guess the tires last 10-20k miles? I live in South Carolina so summer tires may not be terrible year around, but this would be my daily driver. I only drive about 7k miles a year though
Being retired, I guess I don't have a "daily" driver anymore, but I would have no qualms about using my PP equipped Mustang as one. As to the tires: it greatly depends upon how you drive your car. If you drive it hard and do a lot of hard cornering on the back roads, you might only get 10-15K out of them. Otherwise, you should expect around 20K.

That's my experience driving on similar tires.

I'm retired also and don't track my pp GT nor will I be burning the rubber off the tires with this thing drag racing but she is my DD. I'm not into racing anymore, but have nothing against spirited driving once in awhile, esp if some rice rocket or someone is trying to get the best of my girl on the highway. With that said, the tires on this thing came off the lot way over inflated. The TPMS said 41 lbs. I've been out of town but will deflate them to 32-35 lbs once I get back next month. When I was driving it in April, the thing was dangerous in 40* weather to get on it. Big time wheel hop. I expect the deflating them and the 80-90* temps will be more to the summer tires liking. I have no clue on tire life on these Pirelli's. That would be determined how you drive it. I do want to get some all seasons on there for the winter. Missouri isn't noted for that much snow, like MI, MN or WI. I suspect all seasons will suffice.

The funny thing about being retired is that you could easily end up driving your car MORE than you did when it was your DD to your job. And get to drive it harder, if you pick your drive times/routes to wherever with a little planning.

I'm retired too (and my wife retired a couple of weeks ago).

We still have 3 cars for the 2 of us, so the Mustang doesn't get driven all that much.

Norm, My wife retires mid July too. I had my GT for 3 weeks down in MO in April & put almost 1500 miles on it. I don't think I put that many miles on my car in 3 weeks when I was working. Seems like I drove the GT a lot more then when I was working. So yeah, you can put a lot of miles even retired. I go back to MO from Alaska mid June for good. Car is in my daughter's garage in MO sleeping. Awaiting the close date. Sold the house we have up here.

We are moving to Missouri in St Charles County, west of St Louis. Probably in the O'Fallon, St Peters area. What part of Illinois are you in?? Be nice to meet up with some Mustang enthusiasts on a Sunday drive sometime.

I have the GT PP and I drive it to work everyday. I used to have a MS3 speed that I traded in. The difference in the test drive between the regular GT and GT PP sealed it for me. The regular GT was too soft or maybe I am just used to a stiffer ride.

I would have bought the PP just for the Brembos alone if the package was offered on an automatic car. Had the Brembos on my 2011 Camaro SS and it did an amazing job stopping that over weight pig!
