Default 3:73 Gear install!!!

Hey guys, Im going to go ahead and do the 3:73 gears in my automatic since it is a daily driver, but I want to know My car just turned over to 10k miles, when I have these gears installed by a professional should I buy the install kit or rebuild my trak lock, since I only have 10k miles or do I only need the gears? Im switching from 3.31's to 3.73 will I feel a difference what will I feel the most the gears or the longtube headers? Or the aluminum driveshaft I keep switching and want the lower ET. Times for the money!

I would like to know as well. I think I am going to go ahead with the drive shaft and attempt to install it myself.

I think you will feel the gear difference the most.

I wouldn't spend the money to change the locker at 10K miles.

Funny thing is I am in Augusta, and have been quoted between 1200-1400 just for install. If you find one let me know.

Alright man will do, I have been quoted some outragous prices also, I just moved to Chattanooga TN last month from Maryland for Temporary! Have you heard of a place called injected engineering? If so what did they quote you?

The labor should not be more than about $400 and that is even kind of high. Anyone telling you over $1,000 is plain ripping you off twice over.

Go with the gears, best mod for these cars. Then aluminum ds. Dont worry about the trac loc, with only 10k, its like new. all you need is the new gears and install kit.
