a 2011 V6 pulled nxt to my 06 GT a week or so ago (legend lime... for pascal) lets just say i was practically toying with the gas pedal. Those things just dont have the tq to keep up

Assuming you're stock, after all the videos and magazine articles we've seen to date on the 2011 V6... we're supposed to believe that you 'toyed' with the gas pedal and beat it? I find that hard to believe. It has as much HP and is lighter than the 05-10 GT... you're going to need to be all in the throttle in order to pull ANY sort of gap. Again, assuming stock for stock.

If you're modded, then it's not an apples to apple comparison...

well im not completly stock but no heavy mods... CAI tune, exaust thats it.. and yes it was total ownage against that 11 v6. try it yourself

are you sure he was racing? A few things to consider as well, the new 6 speed autos are pretty slow shifting, and there is a big difference between the stock 2.73 rear and the 3.31. I have put down plenty of stock 05-09 GTs with my 11 v6 manual and 3.31. I also really pissed off a guy with a GTO, I knew I had no chance but he wasn't too happy that I could keep up.

3.55 gears, steeda cai, 91oct brenspeed tune, catback exhaust, 5 speed manual=total ownage of 2011 V6. and yes he was racing i work with him and we talk about it. it was not even a close race i was pulling by 2 cars+ at 85mph and would have kept going more if I hadnt let off. It was a maual trans, not sure what gear ratio...

you are surprised that you won? stock to stock its a pretty even race, of course the modded one will win. Just wait when mods become available for the v6.
