Default Correct Ford Racing oil filter.....

Part number M-6731-FL820, is correct... right. I have been using the F500 filter but the 820 has round holes vs. the 500's oval holes where the oil flows. The round holes are like the stock filter it came with. Was going to order a few 820's...

So the M-6731-FL820 is the original part # that comes on the car , correct? How much do they run? Any place to get them other than the dealership?

FWIW, the factory filter on my 5.0 is the FL-500s. Ford seems to have changed alot of engines over to the 500 filter for 2011...I don't know why, but it's the filter that's spec'd for the car.

WalMart sells the FL820's. Not sure about the FL500's since I never looked for one.

No FL500s here at wally world.
But dont buy stuff there as it is all
first off the production line - get
everything properly tweeked just
right - not up to specs yet - products.
Thats how wally world gets the low prices,
cus they buy the under spec junk no one
else will buy.
Maybelline has their trash bins, their wally
world bins and their good product bins.
Anything questionable in any way goes into
the wally bin. Been there, done that.
