Anybody have a cost on all this? I bet it'd be cheaper to put on the FRPP 624HP S/C kit, although I LIKE IT!!! making that much HP N/A is awesome!

Im gonna agree with you on this. Swapping heads,intake,cams is most likely the same amount of $$$$ as S/C. However it is still impressive!

It's actually a LOT more. With the Boss intake, peak horsepower is 507 @ 7550 rpm, whereas the stock intake made peak power of 480 @ 6700 rpm.

At 6700 rpm, the Boss setup was making 490 or so. At 7550 rpm..the stock setup was at about 445! So at 7550 rpm, the Boss setup picked up a ridiculous 62 rwhp!

Initial testing of the Boss intake showed virtually no power gains until 7200-7500 rpm. With JPC's cams, everything over 6200 rpm is gain gain gain!

That would make and I am sure will be used effectively on the race track but I wouldn't want to drive that on the street. I'd much prefer the power come on at lower rpm with a much broader torque curve. More power at lower rpm is much more effective on the street where you just can't wind the motor to get the power. You get that torque from SC.

I actually discussed this in the trading in the camaro SS thread.

heads = 1500, cams=899, exhaust=1000, intake manifold=350, cai+tuner=600, total cost: 4349.

Plus, you can always had some n2o to the mix. I haven't seen any pricing on the superchargers but I expect them to be 5500+ but, i also expect the whipple puts out a lot more power considering they are getting low 10s with it.
