Get that "cammed" sound with just a tune?

The cams are capable of going lock-to-lock in one engine revolution. Since even at idle the engine spins at 700rpm, that is approximately 12 revolutions per second. Thus, it takes the cams 1/12" to go from lopey to non-lopey at idle, and 1/17" of a second at 1000rpm.

Do not think for a second that a (properly tuned) lopey idle will affect low-end torque. As soon as you touch the throttle the intake cam advances to eliminate overlap and develop low-end torque.
