Mine uses about a half a quart between oil changes. Used a bit more when I first got it but it seems to be slowing down. Has just under 15,000 on it.

I was 1 1/2 qts low at 5k which was my first oil change. The oil life still had a lot of % left at 5k. There was no way I was going longer then 5k between oil changes. I used mobil 1 full syn. I just ordered my catch can today as I didn't think that there should be any oil going into my intake but sure enough there is. I must say I never had this problem with my 03 gt until i put a procharger on it which is expected from f/i apps. I'm also having noise issues on the r/f when going over speed bumps which sounds to be a strut or a control arm issue. I never would have expected that spending 30k on a new car would result in so many issues. I will be taking my car to the dealer tom. to see what the problem is on the r/f. I really hope these cars hold up as there seems to be a great deal of problems with such low mileage.

I had the same problem, there is a TSB on the front lower A arm bushings.
Mine consumed a couple quarts of oil the first few thousand miles, but after 6K I haven't lost a drop.

Ive had 2 12's. The first a manual and it used a lot of oil.(documented by Ford) The 2nd 12 that i have now hasnt used a drop of oil. IMO a new car shouldnt use oil. I know i didnt buy a new car expecting it to use oil.

Well after just changing my oil in my 2011 GT 5.0, the level was just below the second dot and my JLT oil separator was 1/4 full. That was about 4200 miles since last change. That's also when I first installed the JLT Separator.

I added 2 quarts before the first oil change. After that the level would gradually drop to the add mark by the time it's due for an oil change. Until now. I added .5 quart to keep the level above the add mark with only 4000 miles since the last oil change. The local Ford dealership changed the oil and added too much. I checked the level a few days later and saw it was well above the full mark. The dealership drained the level to the right level, but I wonder if any damage was done. I didn't drive the car hard before I noticed. At least it's under warranty. Another Ford dealership told me Ford says adding up to 2 quarts of oil between oil changes is perfectly acceptable. Doesn't sound acceptable to me.

Default Oil consumption is normal.

Oil consumption is normal during the break in period. After this period, if you are still using oil, then something is damaged. My 2013 never used any oil. I use good old Dinosaur Oil with the Zmax additive. Oil is only good for about 3 months once it has contaminants in it, and can become mildy corrosive and cause premature wear. So if you park your vehicle for a season its a good idea to change the oil right befor you park it, and change it again when your ready to drive it.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue.. ford just wants to top it up with oil.. is this normal, can't they figure out where the oil is going?

I have 27,000KM on mine, bough it used.. found it needing 2L of oil between services then I got another serice and two weeks later its down half a liter again.. any suggestions?

Love the car, scared about the oil..

I had to put almost a whole quart of oil in my 13 5.0 within the first 7500 miles. Now at 10600 it not burning an ounce...knock on wood.

I don't think a little oil consumption is much of an issue. the caveat is that the consumption is not fouling plugs or messing up the valves, etc.

You want to see oil burners try a radial aircraft engine - a pratt and whitney R2800 might go through 5 to 8 gallons an hour in flight.
