Truth is, first run production models always have their fair share of issues, with any company, and any manufacturor. You take that risk by buying a first year model.

Coming from an 06 GT to this, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
People will always dislike what they can't have or something that is better than theirs.....that is a given.

Well not everybody just most, I'm sure some people are happy with their V6 to the GT or GT to a Boss or Boss to a Shelby.....but not in most cases.

Problem solved, Ford Racing Parts CAI, Ford Racing Parts Whipple Supercharger, Ford Racing Parts Tune, All installed by Downs Ford here in Jersey. Get a catalog and find the guy near you. Warranty guaranteed IF INSTALLED BY AUTHORIZED FORD DEALER. Now all I have to do is find a dealer who will flash the PCM with the Boss track pak.

Some like that.
It's the same thing with the GT500...
"Why would you buy that thing? Get a GT, put a forged block and supercharge it.
It will be faster."

Those comments always come from the mouth of those that will never be close to own one of these, lol.

So why will they warranty a supercharger but not a CAI? Is a forced induction setup/tune safer than a CAI/Tune?

I have to disagree here. I have no doubt that when I am out of college I will be able to buy a gt500 if I really wanted to, but honestly its true.

$35k gt + 5k built motor + $10 for blower longtubes pullies etc. = $50k & 600-900rwhp

Gt500 = $60k +/- and 450rwhp +/-

Dont get me wrong I would much rather have a gt500, but theres also nothing like building your own and especially when you can get more power out of it

Another reason gt500s are a more popular choice is its a ready to drive package that you can take out a loan on. Most people can afford monthly payments, but don't have the backbone to empty their savings on upgrades right after they get the car, or tell their wife where the money went.

By the time you get over 600 Ponies on a 5.0 built motor, you'll have way more than $5K in that build.
Also, a GT500 can be had for a lot less than 60 Grands and for about $2000 you'll have about 700hp.
Just saying...

If mommy and daddy are helping, maybe. If not and you are thinking you'll be in a position to buy a GT500 shortly after college you're probably in for a rude awakening.

A house/mortgage needs to come first, taxes, any student loans, furniture, food, clothes, entertainment, savings, etc.

I think you're dreaming lol.
